Over the years, our team has used porcelain veneers to effectively correct a wide range of cosmetic imperfections, including:
Stains that don’t respond to whitening treatments
Large chips or cracks
Gaps between teeth, especially in the front
Teeth that look too short or uneven
Misshapen or oddly contoured teeth
Undersized teeth that disrupt the balance of your smile
Slight misalignment or crookedness
One of the greatest advantages of veneers is their ability to address multiple concerns at once. This means you can achieve a beautifully transformed smile with just one treatment—saving you both time and the cost of undergoing several separate procedures.
The porcelain veneer process is carefully structured into four key phases, typically completed over the course of two appointments. This thoughtful approach ensures that each patient receives personalized care and leaves with results they truly love.
Phase 1: Initial Consultation
Every smile transformation starts with a conversation. During your first visit, you’ll meet with your dentist to discuss your goals and concerns. After a quick oral exam, we’ll walk you through your treatment options. If veneers are the best fit for your needs, we’ll move forward with designing your ideal smile.
Phase 2: Tooth Preparation
Working together, you and your dentist will create a detailed plan for your new smile. To prepare your teeth for the veneers, a very small amount of enamel—about 2mm, roughly the thickness of a contact lens—is gently removed to ensure a natural-looking fit. Then, we’ll take impressions to send to a trusted U.S.-based dental lab that uses only top-quality, regulated materials. Before you leave, you’ll be fitted with temporary veneers so you can “test drive” your new look. In some cases, this phase can even be completed during your initial visit.
Phase 3: The Test Drive
Over the next several days, you’ll get to experience life with your temporary veneers. Pay attention to how they look and feel, and note any changes you’d like to see. This phase also gives you a chance to gather feedback from friends and family before your final veneers are placed.
Phase 4: Final Placement
Once your permanent veneers are ready—typically within a week—you’ll return to Sizemore Family Dentistry for your final appointment. We’ll remove your temporaries, bond your custom veneers into place, and make any final adjustments to ensure a perfect fit and natural bite. Just like that, your new smile will be complete and ready to shine!
